5 Great Tips to Help You Manage Your Weight
1. Set a goal of maintaining your weight.
Often people set goals of reaching a certain weight. They work really hard and are motivated to get there but once they have reached their target weight, the motivation goes and they slide back into their old eating habits. They can't keep the weight off. So don't think about reaching your target weight, think about maintaining a normal weight. That way, your motivation will continue to keep you slim and healthy.
2. Visualise yourself as the size and shape you want to be.
Spend some time every day visualising yourself as your perfect size and shape. Really see yourself at that size and notice how good it feels. Then thank your unconscious mind for keeping you at that size. This trains your unconscious to work to get you to that size. When you need to lose weight, it can be hard to see yourself as slim, but the more you practise, the easier it gets - and the faster the weight will come off!
3. Think of yourself as being slim and healthy.
When you think of yourself as being overweight or fat, your unconscious mind gets the message that you want to be like that! So change how you think about yourself and notice how feeling good about yourself helps you to reach and maintain your target size.
4. Visualise the fat melting away.
Imagine that you can look inside your body and see the fat in your cells being mobilised - melting away, burning off, dissolving, dissipating. Use whatever image comes to mind.
5. Eat slowly.
Savour each bit of food. Pay attention to the smell, taste and texture of each mouthful. When you do this, you'll find that you feel satisfied with eating less.
Some of these exercises may seem difficult at first but if you persevere, you will notice a change in how you feel about food. This change in attitude will help you to stay slim and healthy.
Using these exercises and others, I can guide your unconscious mind to make the changes you need to make to become the person you truly are.
Or it could be that there are emotional isses from the past that are causing your weight problem. I can guide you to gently release these emotions. This happens at an unconscious level - you may never consciously recall the initial event - but you will find that your issues with food are resolved!
"I never thought that losing weight could be so easy! I don't even think about food -- I just eat what I feel like eating. The thing is I want to eat healthy now. I just don't feel like eating all the things I used to eat. I have lost 21 kilos - my friends keep telling me how great I look!" David O'Farrell, Cambridge Gardens
